I am about to embark on installing an access point utilizing NETGEAR products. I have N600 WNDR3400 and N300 WNDR3300. Want to use N600 as router and N300 as access point. Will the N300 work as a wireless? Does the N300 have to be connected to a computer to use as access point?

Once that's done, you sync the two satellites - best done near the base station. Then you can place the two satellites where you want them (one in the barn, one in the house).
